Galactic Theatre
‘Having worked with other people for years on performances, environments and events, we found this increasingly frustrating, as it was impossible for us to pursue the work we wanted to do, so last year we formed Galactic Theatre to enable us to work alone together on our own personal work.
We believe that it is possible to make one’s dreams and fantasies into realities – even in the most unexpected way, and in creating and performing most of our work we realise many of our dreams and fantasies, and we hope that, in seeing us, others may be encoouraged to pursue theirs, however, different it may be from ours.
We do everything ourselves, for in this way we feel we retain complete artistic control. We develop the ideas and create the performances together. We make our own films, Bruce creates and records the sound and music – thus realising a life-long dream of being a musician. Jill designs and makes costumes, in many cases creating fantasy personalities for herself. She also does film animation. Bruce makes special lighting controls and operates projectors, lights, special effects and sounds as an integral part of the performance.’

Manifestations of Obsessions and Fantasies
This is something quite different. It is an informal evening of alternate live performances and film - most to the accompaniment of Bruce’s music, and all linked together by Bruce being Bruce. It is continually changing, as we are constantly adding new items and removing old ones. Also, although we may include similar items, no two evenings are the same – each one is a new performance created with each new audience. As we have a repertoire of films and performances to draw on we can custom build an evening to be more suitable for different kinds of audience.
